Bible Study: Ezekiel 24 – Destruction of Jerusalem Temple
Ezek 24:13-14 In your filthiness is lewdness. Because I have cleansed you, and you were not cleansed, You will not be cleansed of your filthiness anymore, Till I have caused My fury to rest upon you. I, the LORD, have spoken it; It shall come to pass, and I will do it; I will not hold back, Nor will I spare, Nor will I relent; According to your ways And according to your deeds They will judge you,” Says the Lord GOD.
Are you filthy after cleansed?
Are you filthy after cleansed by the blood of Jesus? If God did not spare Israel, He may not spare you either (Rom 11:21). Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was cleansed a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? (Heb 10:29).
Sanctification is the process of keeping yourself holy
Sanctification is not the process of becoming holy but rather keeping yourself holy by obeying the Holy Spirit. 1 Thess 4:3-5; Heb 10:29; Rev 3:3-5
Jesus is a friend only to those who obey Him
John 15:14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.
Whoever is born of God cannot sin
1 John 3:9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.
