The first version of Simple Bible Reader was released on July 1, 2011, and it has come a long way over nearly 14 years. Back in 2011, conversion from one format to another wasn’t easily available and this software fulfilled that requirement. It is now time for it to retire, as there are several other alternatives available. The Simple Bible Reader page can be found here, and all binaries and source code will continue to be available for download for the foreseeable future. Since the source code is released into the public domain and all relevant libraries and code are properly attributed, anyone interested can continue development, upload to GitHub, and/or build new software from this codebase.
Simple Bible Reader .exe is a 7-zip SFX executable which can be extracted using 7-zip. The binaries available after extraction are not obfuscated. Hence, anything missing from the source code (if you know what I mean – some have requested this in the past) can be easily retrieved by decompiling them using tools like ILSpy., etc.
