Bible Study: Ezekiel 29 – Prophecy against Egypt

The twenty-ninth chapter of Ezekiel is about prophecy against Egypt. It shall be the lowliest of kingdoms; it shall never again exalt itself above the nations, for God will diminish them so that they will not rule over the nations anymore. No longer shall it be the confidence of the house of Israel, but will remind them of their iniquity when they turned to follow them.

Bible Study: Ezekiel 28 – Judgment on Tyre’s King and Sidon

God will judge any nation that is like a pricking thorn to Israel. In 1948, God gathered the house of Israel and the nation of Israel was formed. They will dwell in their own land, build houses, plant vineyards and dwell safely. While Israel dwell safely, God will execute Judgments on all around those who despise them. Whether it ancient Tyre by Alexander or the Invasion of Iraq in 2003 or Syrian civil-war in 2011, these judgments ruined them.

God is punishing Tyre simply because Tyre rejoiced in the destruction of Jerusalem. Because it said, “Aha! I, the LORD, have spoken it; It shall come to pass, and I will do it; I will not hold back, Nor will I spare, Nor will I relent; According to your ways And according to your deeds They will judge you,” Says the Lord GOD.

Bible Study: Ezekiel 23 – Idolatry of Jerusalem and Samaria

God executed all these judgments on Israel and fulfilled His fury. Today, we have God’s mercy on Israel for He had given them their land. Just as God prophesied through Ezekiel, the Jews in the land of Israel today is no longer involved in idolatry, thus her lewdness is ceased. But had murder ceased? While Israel had ceased idolatry, murder in the name of abortion, just as the ancient Israelites sacrificed their children still sadly exists.
