The way Christians reject the teachings of Jesus is by replacing Him from being the Truth. If Jesus is the Truth, then everything that does not agree with Jesus Christ is a lie. But Satan is very clever. He wants many Christians to believe that the Bible is the truth. Even though Bible contains the truth, it also contains lies and several things contrary to what Christ taught. Thus, by replacing Christ with Bible as the authoritative truth, he can deceive them to use those lies to reject Christ’s teachings.
Who or what is the Truth?
- Jesus Christ? or
- The Holy Bible?
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
John 14:6
If you agree ‘Jesus Christ’ as the truth, then everything that does not agree with Jesus Christ is a lie. The first step in deceiving Christians to reject the teachings of Jesus is to replace the actual truth with something else like the Bible. Of course, we can use the Bible to prove anything from polygamy to abstinence, crusades, burning on stake and many others.

We can even prove Scripture is the Truth, thus rejecting what Jesus said as a lie.
Your righteousness [is] an everlasting righteousness, And Your law [is] truth.
Ps 119:142
Are you a Jew or a follower of the law? No worries, we even have a verse for you justifying that the law is the truth, not Jesus Christ.
As you can see, you can prove anything you want with scriptures. Thus you can reject everything Jesus said if you don’t accept Christ to the Truth. Do you “truly” believe that Christ is the “Truth”? Or, are you using the Bible to reject the teachings of Jesus?
Who or what is the Word of God?
He [was] clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
Rev 19:13
The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Jesus Christ is the word of God. By replacing Jesus as being the word of God, Christians can use Paul’s letters or prophet’s prayer and praises as God’s word and use them to reject what Jesus actually taught.
Conclusion
Christians must first make themselves familiar with what truth is. Christ is the Truth. Everything that does not agree with Christ is a lie. This includes every denomination and their doctrines. Once Christians are firm on the fact that Christ is the Truth, then no one can deceive them. This is were Satan wants to throw away the Truth and replace it with Bible. Do you believe the Truth?

The words spoken by God and Christ and Christ Himself is the Word of God. The rest of Bible are narrations, poems, prayers and praises of prophets/scribes which are not the Word of God. In Jer 8:8, God Himself asks – “How can you say, ‘We [are] wise, And the law of the LORD [is] with us’? Look, the false pen of the scribe certainly works falsehood. Also, we see that in the law of divorce, Jesus Himself declares that it was given by Moses because of the hardness of heart clearly explaining it is not from God as we see from the beginning. Bible is simply a collection of books by scribes over thousands of years. It contains the words of God but it is not the word of God.
